Farmhouse. Possibly C16, ceiled C17, refenestrated early C19. Random rubble local stone, roughcast on fling, rendered west end, thatched roof, brick stack left gable end, stone stack centre right, external roughcast stack north gable end of wing with rebuilt brick top, Plan: open hall house facing north celled to 2-cell and cross passage, 'L'-plan addition west end, Two storeys, 2:1:1 bays, eaves line rises over central bay, mostly early C19 leaded iron casements, 2-light over entrance 4-light to right, 3-light in gable end of wing and 3-light end biy right, ground floor 2-light left, 5-panel door with tiff gabled porch, 4-light window right under wooden lintel with course of brickwork below, re-entrant angle of wing with blocked door- way, blocked opening above and 3-light leaded iron casement ground floor right, gable end unlit, C20 greenhouse in west re-entrant angle, entrance to kitchen right and another window beyond. Interior: partially seen. Through passage with very steep winder wooden stair rising left beside entrance, shouldered doorframe adjoining in load bearing wall, east end room with chamfered lintel to gable end fireplace, empty bay in south-east corner; to right of through passage, former kitchen with bacon curing chamber to right of fireplace with chamfered lintel: road beyond unseen with inserted corridor linking present featureless kitchen. Upper storey not seen.
