2. Mid C19 pair of houses. 3 storeys faced in Bath stone. Central and flanking piers with banded rustication, moulded string breaking across. Projecting moulded cornice, parapet with angle and centre pieces, coping over. The parapet breaks forward over centre of each house with round headed gable with shaped surround crowned by finial containing a dormer of 2 arched lights. 1 window to each house. 2nd floor tripartite sash windows, later glazing bars, dividing pilasters carried down into apron. Brackets above pilasters to cornice which breaks forward slightly over them. lst floor: large canted stone bays with plain pilaster strips, entablatures and pediments over centre. Hipped stone roof with antifixae. 2 light transomed casements to sides and front. Projecting bases to pilaster strips. Ground floor No 18: frame of Victorian shop front with flanking single and double panelled pilasters, frieze and cornice breaking forward with base of bay windows. 2 windows of 2 mullioned lights, 1 splayed in to door, the base panelled, rest glazed. Rectangular fanlight over. Door to right of 6 panels also with rectangular fanlight. No 19 has mid C20 shop front inserted.

Nos 18 to 26 (consec) form a group.
