Details

1. 1425 WELSH ROW (South Side) ------------ No 83 SJ 6452 1/18 19.4.48.

II* GV 2. A good tall late C18 house. Red brick; 5 storeys; 5 restored sash windows (with glazing bars), the central in moulded stone surround and all,with stone sills and flat brick arches. Slight central projection terminating in pediment with stone cornice; stone eaves cornice; good doorway having moulded wood doorcase with 3/4 Roman Doric columns, pediment and semi-circular fanlight with wrought-iron fret;- small, stepped perron and late C19 railings in front of doorway. Interior has good staircase and C17 panelling in one room removed from another Nantwich house.

Nos 83, 85, 89, Stables at rear of No 89, 91, 97 to 101(odd), Methodist Chapel and Nos 103 to 109 (odd) form a group.
