Details
NORTH HILL SX 27 NE 4/88 Lemarne II Pair of cottages, now used as one house. Probably C18 extended in later C18. Stone rubble with granite quoins, with painted corrugated iron across front elevation Steeply pitched slate roof with hipped ends and gable end to front. Central stone rubble axial stack with dressed strings. Plan: Overall'T' shaped plan; pair of one-room plan cottages with entrance in left and right hand sides,towards the rear, through outshut extension which was probably added across the rear in the late C18 or early C19. The two main rooms share the central axial stack. The projection in the centre on front contains two staircases Exterior: Two storeys. Symmetrical 3 window front with central gabled full height stair projection on front. The two staircases share a central, probably C19 2-light casement. The cottage to left has a C20 3-light casement on ground floor and late C19 or early C20 2-light casement above. The cottage to right has circa C19 2-light casements on ground and first floor. Interior: Not inspected. Of similar design to Mill Cottage and Lower Mill Cottage and Postman's and The Cottage in Trebartha village (qv).
