Details

LUGHORSE LANE TQ 75 SW HUNTON (North Side) 2/86 South Lodge GV II Lodge. 1891. Red brick in Flemish bond. Plain tile roof. L-plan. 2 storeys. Ashlared stone quoins. Flush grey brick band between storeys and across eaves of south gable, with 2 small grey brick circles between. Upper section of remainder of first floor divided by studs into square panels with tessellated brick infilling. 2 shaped gables, one to south at east end and one to west gable end, with moulded stone kneelers and stone coping with ball finials. East gable end half-hipped. Crested ridge tiles. Projecting brick stack to east, with twisted stone flues with moulded caps and bases. Rear (north) stack towards centre. Irregular fenestration to south of no first-floor windows to main range and one canted leaded oriel window to first floor of south gable, with rectangular bay to ground floor below. Wooden veranda to south elevation of main range. Boarded door to east end of south elevation of main range. Interior not inspected. 1891 datestone to south gable. Served Gennings.
