LAPFORD EASTINGTON SS 70 NW 4/76 - East Eastington Farmhouse - II
Small farmhouse. Probably C18. Plastered cob on rubble footings; stone rubble stacks topped with C20 brick; thatched roof. 2-room plan house facing south with projecting end stack to right (east) room and projecting rear lateral stack to left (western) room. 2 storeys. Irregular 3-window front of circa 1980 PVC casements with glazing bars. Roughly central doorway with circa 1980 hipped and thatch-roofed porch on plain posts. Left bay includes 2 buttresses and eaves drop in level slightly right of right buttress. Roof is gable-ended to right and half-hipped to left. Interior has plain carpentry detail. Rubble fireplaces with plain chamfered oak lintels and right room has chamfered crossbeam. Roof not inspected.
