Villa, now used as funeral parlour, c.1880. Brick with polychrome bands and
dressings; Welsh slate roof. 2 storeys; 3-bay ground floor has bay windows
with rounded pilasters, leafy capitals, large carved consoles, and sashes.
Right-hand window altered mid/late C20 and stained glass inserted. Central
doorway has mid/late C20 panelled double doors,with original sidelights and
segmental overlight, in quasi-Tuscan doorcase with panelled reveals. 5-bay
first floor has segmental-headed sash windows. Between floors: an
ornamental cast iron balcony across the whole frontage. Low-pitched
pyramidal roof with iron finial and rebuilt stacks to left and right. 2-bay
left return has sashes in segmental-headed openings. Mid/late C20 extension
to right is not of interest.
