3/15 Brotton Hall
G.V. II
House, now 3 dwellings, c.1800, with late C19 wing. Dressed sandstone with tooled margins. Welsh slate roof with stone ridge and gable copings. Ridge and end stacks. 2 storeys and attic, 3 bays. Central 6-panelled door, up 3 concrete steps, in fluted-and-reeded pilaster-and-entablature doorcase with dentilled open pediment. Fanlight with geometric glazing bars. 2-storey canted bay windows with timber pilaster mullions. All windows have sashes with glazing bars and painted stone sill bands. Low, straight parapet with painted flat copings. 2 late C19 gabled roof dormers. Single-bay right-hand wing has similar bay window and 6-panelled door to left; Garret lights in end returns. Rear elevation shows Venetian stair window. Mid/late C20 extensions at rear are not of interest.
