2. Dominant position on corner site with Monday Market Street qv. Early C19 3 storeys Bath stone on plinth with chamfered coping. Canted bayed corner facing down Sheep Street qv. Shallow projecting cornice and parapet with coping. 1st floor sill course. 3 windows to Maryport Street, those nearest bayed corner blind, 1 window to each face of bayed corner and 1 window ground floor to Monday Market Street. Recessed sashes to upper floors, 3 panes wide to Maryport Street and 4 panes wide in bayed corner. Full length on 1st floor with flush keystones. The lst floor windows on corner have raised fluted surrounds and cornices. Ground floor to Maryport Street: 2 windows and door in semi-circular arched recesses, moulded string linking spring of arches. Sloping sills. Recessed door of 4 fielded and 2 flush panels. Semi-circular fanlight, painted with 2 glazing bars. Ground floor of canted bay: late Victorian shop front. To Monday Market Street: one round headed window, recessed, plate glass, block sill.

Nos 1 to 16 (consec) form a group.
