2. First half Cl9. 2 storeys. 3 windows. Slate roof, change of angle in north west part of roof suggests the incorporation of an earlier building. Upper storey painted tile hanging. Bottom storey painted brick. Upper storey has sash windows with margin lights. Lower storey has a carriage entrance to the rear under the north west side. The contemporary heavy door frame has large partly fluted pilasters, large hood over an entablature with massive cornice and architrave. The entablature is continued over the adjoining side window.
The Crown Inn forms a group with Nos 2 to 14 (even) and Nos 2 to 6 (even) Cinque Ports Street at this entrance to Rye.
