2. Circa 1820 altered. Row of 3 storeyed red brick houses with stuccoed ground floors. Block sill courses in stucco. Low pitch gable end slate roofs. No 8 retains plinth, 1 window each except for No 10 with 2: recessed sashes, square on 2nd floor, 4 panes wide. No 7 has modern shop front. No 8 has a recessed door of 2 flush panels, rest glazed and a wide window of 6 panes with block sill. No 9 has a similar door, the window with modern glazing but retainadg frame of panelled pilasters and panelled band over. No 10 has a modernised C19 double shop front with flanking pilasters and shallow cornice.

Nos 1 to 18 (consec) and all the listed buildings on the South West Side of Market Place form a group.
