KEEVIL MARTINS ROAD ST 9257 (west side) 14/166 East Barton GV II
Detached cottage. Circa 1600. Square-panelled timber-framing with curved bracing, Bridgwater tiled roof, axial brick stack. Gable end to road, 2-bay baffle entry. Two-storey, 2-window. C20 porch to left on south side, 3-light casement to right. First floor has 2-light and 3-light casements. Right return, gable end facing road, has 3-light ground floor casement, 2-light first floor casement and single-light attic casement. Rear has single-light and 2-light ground floor casements, first floor has 2-light casement, central smoke bay is rubble stone. Interior has ogee moulded beam with ogee stops in room to right of entrance, ovolo-moulded beam on east wall, open fireplace in this room has moulded jambs, missing lintel. First floor fireplace with stone Tudor-arched fireplace. (Wiltshire Buildings Record, Devizes)
