Thatched Cottage
(Formerly listed as Cottage to south of Southacre House)

Cottage. Early C18, late C19, C20. Colourwashed mud and stud, red brick, some of it rendered and colourwashed. Thatched and pantiled roof with single central ridge stack where thatch adjoins pantile roof to north. Single storey and attic, three bay front with central mud and stud bay with single C20 glazing bar casement and thatched roof with single eyebrow dormer with two light casement. Colourwashed and rendered brick lean-to to right with single sliding sash in north return and single casement with wooden lintel in south return. C20 red brick re-cased bay to left with single doorway with broad wooden lintel and plank door, and pantile roof.South return with lean-to partially mud and stud and partially colourwashed brick. Single doorway in west end with wooden lintel and plank door. Single sliding sash in south side and fixed glazing bar casement in east end. East side with single sliding sash in mud and stud bay to right with C20 brick lean-to beyond with single fixed narrow light in south return, this addition is of no special interest. Southacre House is not included on this list.
