Mid Cl9 2 storeys red brick on plinth with stone capping. Chamfered stone
quoins. lst floor stone sill course. Hipped slate roof. 2 windows lst floor,
recessed sashes in rusticated stone surrounds with flat arches. Ground floor:
canted bay window to left on brick base. Side lights and paired lights to
front, column with foliate capital dividing, incised strips to stone surrounds.
Moulded cornice and parapet with delicate interlaced roundels in panels. Recessed
door to right of 4 flush panels in rusticated surround, stone lintel and keystone.
Slight extension to west 1 window on 1st floor as on front and on ground floor
rectangular brick bay with nipped slate roof. 1 window to front and narrow
one to south side, block sills.
Nos 3 to 10 (consec) (The Island) form an important group as viewed across
Devizes Green.
