WOODSTOCK PARK STREET SP4416NW (South side) 9/216 Nos.1 and 3 13/02/69 (Formerly listed as Dunville House, No.1, No.3) GV II Two houses now part of Bear Hotel (q.v.). No.3, to right. Early C19 rebuild of earlier house. Limestone ashlar front, with Flemish bond brick to sides and rear; limestone rubble to rear right wing. Gabled stone slate roof; brick ridge stack and end stacks. L-plan with rear right wing. 2 storeys and attic; symmetrical 5-window range. Keyed flat stone arch over C20 door: open-pedimented doorcase with pilasters. Keyed flat stone arches over early C19 tripartite sash window to right, later C19 tripartite horned sash window to left, and first-floor 6-pane sashes; hipped dormers with 2-light casements. C20 extension to rear. House to left (No.1). Early C19. Coursed limestone rubble; stucco front. Gables stone slate roof; brick end stacks. One-unit plan. 2 storeys and attic; one-window range. Early C19 beaded 6-panelled door with overlight to left early C19 bow window with glazing bar casements. Bowed tripartite sash window on first floor. Hipped dormer with 2-light casement. Interior: early C19 straight-flight staircase with stick balusters. C17 chamfered beams.
