AIREBOROUGH THORPE LANE SE 14 SE LS 20 (west side, off) Guiseley 4/74 Thorpe Farmhouse - - II

Farmhouse. Probably later C17, remodelled in C18, Coursed squared sandstone with quoins, stone slate roof. Double depth 4-room plan. Two storeys and 2 bays, almost symmetrical; modern single-storey gabled porch offset left of centre, protecting doorway with plain surround; two 3-light windows on each floor, all with flat-faced flush mullions and plain surrounds; gable chimneys, gable copings with kneelers. (Modern addition at right-hand end, not included in the item). Right-hand return wall has doorway to rear room, and at 1st floor a blocked taking-in door. Rear has inter alia at ground floor a chamfered doorway altered as a window and recessed mullioned windows of C17 type flanking this: to left, 4 lights lacking 1st and 3rd mullions, to right, 3 lights with chamfered mullions.

Interior: both rear rooms have a large stop-chamfered longitudinal beam.
