II
Lodge to Bowood estate, c1840-50, rubble stone with ashlar dressings, stone slate roof, coped gables with heraldic finials and altered central ridge stack. One and a half storeys, Tudor style with leaded stone mullion windows. West side has 2 eaves shouldered dormer gables with 2-light windows and ground floor 1-2-1-light stone oriel to left, 2-light and hoodmould to right. Gabled single storey extension to right, matching style, with south end stack and west 2-light window. North end, to drive, has gable plaque, upper 2-light and hoodmould and ground floor triple-arched projecting stone porch with parapet. Within, 2-light with hoodmould and Tudor-arched doorway. Rear has gabled wing, probably added, in similar style. Original dormer gable with 2-light over 3-light ground floor window to right.
