GV II
Bank and adjoining house, now bank and shop. Dated 1894, with late C20 alterations. Red brick with ashlar dressings. Roofs not visible. 4 side wall and 3 ridge stacks, all coped. 2 and 3 storeys; 4 : 5 windows. Bank, to left, has ashlar plinth and rusticated quoins, deep eaves cornice, and panelled coped parapet with pedestal and ball finial. 4 plain sashes with stone surrounds and sillband. Below, to left, moulded doorcase with keystone and segmental pediment and above, cartouche with foliage surround. Panelled door with overlight. To right, 3 larger windows with pulvinated friezes and cornices. House, to right, has first floor band and eaves cornice, and plain parapet with pedestal and ball finial. To right, triple plain sash with shallow pediment to central light. To left, 2 plain sashes with cornice. Above, 4 plain sashes with large brackets to sills. All these windows have stone surrounds. Ground floor has central doorway flanked by single shop windows under full width fascia, all late C20. INTERIOR not inspected.
