House, later 2 shops, now one. Late C16 or early C17 with mid C18 facade. Painted brick over timber-frame with Welsh slate roof. 2 storeys, 6-window range. Early C19 bow window to left, and a pair of late C19 shop fronts with outer doorways and windows divided by thin glazing bars. Upper windows are 12-pane sashes (one blind). Overhanging moulded wood eaves cornice, single gabled dormer in roof. INTERIOR: has exposed timber-framing in partition and rear walls. Late C17 staircase in left-hand section, with moulded rail and turned balusters. Wall panelling in front and rear ground-floor rooms: simple panels and frieze in front left-hand room, ornate overmantel with tracery and scalloped decoration to rear, probably not in situ.
