GV II

Gateway, railing and boundary wall bordering Newcastle Circus. 1877. By TC Hine of Nottingham. Ashlar and red brick, with blue brick dressings and wrought-iron railing and gates. 5 panelled square gate piers with cornice caps, with 2 double gates and a smaller single gate. To left, a 4m length of boundary wall with square end pier and railing. To right, brick boundary wall approx 120m long, with plinth, corbel table, and chamfered coping. The wall encloses the grounds south-east of the house, and borders Park Drive and Clumber Road East, ending at a late C20 gateway. Included for group value.
