GV II

Bank, now offices. Dated 1914, raised at rear late C20. Portland stone ashlar with granite plinth. Roof not visible. Classical Revival style. Single storey plus attics with 3 storey rear elevation; 5 window range. Plinth, entablature with mutule cornice, moulded cornice to attic. Bowed entrance front, to north, is fully rusticated. Moulded doorcase with plank door and cove moulded blank tympanum with keystone. On either side, a curved bay with flanking Doric piers and an 18 pane sash with lattice guard rail. Projecting cornice with a pair of urns. Attic has pediment with coat of arms and a stone mullioned triple sash flanked by panelled pilasters. On either side, a rounded corner supported at the end by a console bracket. Right return has five 32-pane sashes with cornices, the central one with pediment on scroll brackets. To right, a slight recess with a recessed panelled double door and above it, a 15 pane sash. Attic has 5 glazing bar sashes and to right, a smaller similar sash. Rear elevation, to Mulberry Street, has 5 windows on each floor and a late C20 upper storey. INTERIOR not inspected.
