House, now part of the Northern General Hospital (not included). Early C19, with later C19 and mid C20 alterations. Brick with rendered and roughcast returns, and ashlar front, with slate roof and 2 gable and single ridge coped rendered stacks. Plinth, first floor band, moulded eaves cornice. 2 storeys plus garrets; 5 window range. L-plan. On each floor, the 2 left windows are more closely spaced. Five 12 pane sashes and above, five 6 pane sashes. Central doorcase with engaged Greek Doric columns and cornice, the door altered to form a window and now boarded up. On each side, 2 windows, also boarded up. Right return has a short rear wing with a tall glazing bar stair window, flanked to left by a similar blocked window. Below, to right, a blocked door with moulded surround. Left return has a first floor plain sash, and a central plain sash to garret. INTERIOR not inspected. Vacant and boarded up at time of survey.
