2 town houses, now offices. Dated 1820, restored c1990. Stucco with slate roof. Moulded cornice and blocking course. Windows are glazing bar sashes in graduated courses, with moulded surrounds. Entrance front, to Newcastle Terrace, 3 storeys; 1:4:1 windows. Projecting centre with cornices to ground floor windows, and second floor sill band. Side bays have porches with Tuscan columns and balcony railings, covering half-glazed doors and overlights. Above, round-arched windows, and above again, smaller windows. Ropewalk front, 3 storeys plus basement; 1:1:2:1 windows, has a projecting centre under a pediment containing relief decoration and date. Basement has 4 windows in the centre. Ground floor has two tripartite windows, upper floors, 2 windows. Side bays have single windows, plus an additional recessed bay with single window to left in plain openings. INTERIOR: wooden dogleg stair with cast-iron balustrade, several original 6-panel doors, moulded cornices.
