Shops and offices. Dated 1888. By Evans & Jolly of Nottingham. Red brick, with ashlar dressings and plain tile and slate roofs. Ashlar ridge stack with 8 octagonal flues. Moulded brick and ashlar eaves cornice. Windows are mainly paired plain sashes with stone surrounds and mullions. 4 storeys plus attics; 3 x 5 windows. Acute angled corner site with splayed corner. Ground floor has late C20 shopfront to both fronts. Corner bay has a stone oriel window, 3 lights, on the first floor. Above, single windows on each floor, and over them, a gable with a triple octagonal chimney stack inscribed with the date. Left return, to South Parade, has three 2-light mullion windows on each floor. Attics have 3 gabled dormers with casements. Right return, to Wheeler Gate, has similar fenestration with 4 paired windows to left, and smaller single windows to right. Attics have 5 dormers. INTERIOR refitted late C20.
