Includes: No.13 CAVENDISH CRESCENT SOUTH. House and attached boundary wall. Late 1850s. By TC Hine of Nottingham for the 5th Duke of Newcastle. Red brick, with yellow brick and ashlar dressings and hipped slate roofs with 2 brick ridge stacks. Plinth, panelled first floor and eaves bands, coved eaves cornice. Windows are mainly original plain and glazing bar sashes. 2 and 3 storeys; 3 x 3 bays. Square plan. Main entrance front to South Road has a central square tower porch, 3 storeys, with moulded ashlar doorway and fanlight. Above, a round-arched plain sash. Above again, round-arched corner balconies with shafts, and a pyramidal roof. To right, an additional doorway with flat head, and 2 windows. Right return, to Cavendish Crescent South, has a central lean-to projection with porch, and to left, a single storey projection, now a garage. Above, 3 glazing bar sashes. Outside, attached boundary wall, rock-faced Bulwell stone, with red brick and blue brick bands and ashlar panelling. Stepped blue brick coping. Opposite the main entrance, a gateway with square piers, wooden gate, and wrought-iron overthrow. Piers have plinths and cornice caps. The wall borders South Road, approx 70m, and approx 7m along Cavendish Crescent South, with a rounded corner. Small gateway with square brick piers.
