Lodge, now house. Probably 1902. By Thomas Winn. For Joseph Pickering. Coursed gritstone and ashlar to ground floor, timber-framed 1st floor, red tile roof. 2 storeys, 2 x 1 bays. Vernacular Revival style. Gabled timber porch, 4-light square bay window, gabled through eaves dormer above. 2-light square bay window and projecting window under half-hipped roof to road. Tall square stack with 4 attached cylindrical moulded flues to centre of ridge. INTERIOR: not inspected. Built as a lodge to Bardon Hill, now St Urban's School (qv).
