GV II

Cottage with workshop. Late C18, restored C20. Coursed squared gritstone, stone slate roof. 2 storeys, 2 bays to street, 3 storeys to rear. Central entrance with tie-stone jambs, to left a wide flat arch with single-stone lintel set low down, now part blocked; to right a C20 2-light window. 1st floor: two 2-light flat-faced mullion windows, modern casements. Rear: the wide arch, right, has modern stone walling; single- and 2-light mullioned windows, modern plate-glass frames. INTERIOR: not inspected. The rise in the street level obscures the arched access to the rear of the premises and thus to the canal wharf behind.
