Shops and offices. c1890, altered C20. By William Bakewell. Ashlar, slate roof. Gothic Revival style. 4 storeys and attic. 6 bays. Ground floor: arcade of 4 wide Tudor arches, modern shop windows, entrance to upper floors staircase left, carriageway right. 1st, 2nd and 3rd floors: canted bay windows with mullions and transoms, bays 1 and 6, are carried up to attic pavilions with steeply-pitched hipped roofs and finials. Bays 2-5: 4-light windows with traceried heads to 1st and 3rd floors and transoms to 2nd floor; between 2nd-floor windows are canopied niches containing tall carved robed figures. Bracketed eaves cornice and balustraded parapet between end pavilions. INTERIOR: not inspected.
