Cross. Late C19. Stone. In the style of a medieval preaching cross, approx 6m high. The octagonal base composed of 3 moulded steps; square plinth with moulded lower stage and traceried panels to upper stage; tapered shaft with moulded corners, carved cornice and ogee-panelled stage surmounted by floriate cross. Stands at the focal point of the rear courtyard formed by the east end of Church of All Souls, Blackman Lane (qv), principal rooms of former vicarage, now All Souls' House (qv), and main school range, now Tennant Hall (qv).
