SE23SE BEESTON ROAD, Beeston Hill 714-1/10/535 (West side) Boundary wall with railings, gate piers and gates to Joseph Priestley College

Boundary wall, railings, gates with gate piers. 1880, altered C20. By RL Adams. Low wall of brick with stone coping steps up hill slope, overall length approx 75m; cast-iron railings have thick standards with roll mouldings and knob finials, strengthened by scroll brackets to short abutment walls; rods have knob finials. Gate piers opposite former boys' entrance: ashlar, square section, plinth, shaft, moulded cornice, stepped pyramidal capstones. Included for group value.
