Walls, steps and summerhouse. 1893. By Francis Bedford. Red brick, stone details, felted roof to summerhouse. Walls approx 1m high, overall length approx 70m; curved terrace wall with stone seating and ramped coping to garden steps from SW corner of house to small square-plan single-storey summerhouse; walling steps down on W side of drive and returns eastwards in front of the N side of the house where it is arcaded (possibly later). Summerhouse has brick quoins, a panelled S door with circular glazed top panel, in moulded brick Gibbs-style surround with pediment above eaves line; Venetian windows on N and E sides with original stained glass including roundels with painted figures and foliage signed 'GF Malins'. Ogee roof, the finial stored inside. INTERIOR: lined with wooden seats.
