House with cottages attached at rear and further range of
workshops/warehousing beyond. Early-mid C19, altered C20.
Coursed squared gritstone, hammer-dressed on house front,
slate and stone slate roofs.
No.333 Upper Town Street: 2 storeys, 3 windows, hipped roof
with ashlar corniced chimney at centre, coved stone eaves
cornice; central door with overlight in plain surround,
flanking and 1st-floor sash windows, now with C20 casements.
Left return (Haley's Yard): 2-storeyed terraced houses flank
3-storey industrial range. Houses (Nos 2-10 & 16-18) have
plain stone surrounds to doorways, plain sills and lintels to
windows, all with C20 casements.
The industrial building (Nos 12 & 14): stone slate hipped
roof, 3 wide round-arched entrances to ground floor, 2 part
blocked, all with keystone and impost blocks; central loading
doors to 1st and 2nd floors, timber hood at eaves level, tall
windows to 1st floor, some blocked, 4 paired windows with
flat-faced mullions to 2nd floor and to 1st and 2nd floors on
rear facade.
