Houses, now premises of the National Childrens' Homes and the Theosophical Society. 1815-22, altered C20. By John and George Bischoff. Rendered brick, slate roof. Each of 2 storeys and 2 bays. No.11: stone steps up to 6-panel door, fanlight with radial glazing bars, imposts and keyblock. C20 sashes with glazing bars, stone sills and wedge lintels; stack straddles ridge right. No.12: panelled door with overlight under a fanlight with beading on the radial glazing bars; C20 stained-glass window flanked by small round windows to ground floor; C20 sashes with glazing bars above; C20 dormer window. INTERIOR: not inspected. Part of the development by the Bischoffs which included 13 houses filling the NE side of the square.
