Public house, now house. Early C19. Rendered brick with parapeted, gabled plain tile roof; projecting end stacks, one now truncated. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys with attic and cellar; 3-window range. Front has 2 hipped dormers, each with a window with central vertical glazing bar, behind a plain parapet. 1st floor has a coupled pair of plain sash windows in earlier wide openings (former tripartites?) either side of a central plain sash window with semicircular head. Ground floor has central mid C19 doorcase with pilasters, hood on consoles, shallow fanlight and door of 6 moulded panes. Either side are canted, flat-roofed bay windows with sash window with central vertical glazing bars. Projecting wide pilaster-like strips on each edge of facade. Tall one-storey-and-attic rear wing on top of retaining wall with slate gabled roof and tall ridgeline stack. 1st floor is of black weatherboarding with two C20 small-paned casements. Rear wall is rendered with sash window with central vertical glazing bar to attic. Rear of main block is partly of red brick. INTERIOR: not inspected.
