GV II

Pair of semi-detached houses. Early C19. Painted brick with hipped slate roofs with large central ridgeline stack and smaller flank stacks. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; symmetrical 4-window range with centre breaking forward. The centre has on the 1st floor, a 16-pane sash window either side of a blind recess. Ground floor is similar, but small panes removed from lower sash of No.34 and square small-paned bay window on No.34A. The recessed part of No.34 has a 12-pane sash window over an open porch with hipped slate roof over lattice-work in painted timber, with side central elliptical arch and narrow semicircular-headed side openings, 4-flush-panel door. The front of No.34A has been extended forward, with a lean-to in front of formerly recessed part. This has a 16-pane sash over C20 semicircular-headed door with small windows with small-paned sashes either side. C20 flat-roofed garage attached to north-west flank; No.34 has 2-storey rear wing. Rear elevation has 16-pane sashes on each floor and 2 similar windows on main rear, 1st floor, over a lean-to single-storey extension. INTERIOR: not inspected.
