Includes: No.1 EDWARDS WALK. Shops and offices. Early C19. Timber-framed and rendered with Welsh slate hipped roof behind plain parapet and red-brick stack on east flank above parapet. EXTERIOR: 3 storeys; 3-window range; C19 red-brick extension at rear of 2 storeys with plain tile gabled roof. The C20 Edwards Walk arcade penetrates ground floor. 2nd floor has 3 flush 9-pane sash windows with moulded surrounds. 1st floor has 3 similar but 12-pane sash windows. Ground floor has C20 shop fronts with continuous fascia, shop to east with 2 large glass panes and to west with one pane and arcade entrance. 3-light fittings above fascia on curved iron brackets and hanging sign on elaborate wrought-iron bracket. INTERIOR: 1st-floor windows have moulded architraves inside, enclosing folding shutters. Some original doors and moulded door architraves on upper floors.
