Shop and office. C16 or earlier. Timber-framed and rendered with steep pitched plain tile roof. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; one-window range. 1st floor is jettied and has low tripartite sash window with one vertical glazing bar in central light. Ground floor has C20 shop front of 2 horizontal glass panes and C20 glazed door. INTERIOR: stop-chamfered spine beam exposed and substantial girding beam at rear. On 1st floor there is a central partition of open studwork with tie beam on jowled posts and parallel cambered tie beam adjoining to rear. (RCHME: Essex Central and South-west: London: 1921-: 174:10).
