GV II

Pair of small houses. Mid C19; altered. Roughcast render with sandstone dressings, all painted white at the front; slate roof with stone gable copings. Double-depth plan, each house single-fronted. 2 storeys, 2+2 windows, symmetrical; with raised quoining and a 1st-floor sillband. The doorways, to right and left respectively, are round-headed with pilaster jambs, moulded imposts, moulded heads with enriched keystones, set-in pilastered doorcases, 4-panel doors and fanlights with radiating glazing bars. Each house has one large hornless 16-pane sash at ground floor and two similar but slightly smaller sashes above, all these windows with quoined surrounds and moulded brackets to the sills. Chimneys on front and rear slopes at junction. Rear and interior not inspected. Forms group with Nos 32 and 34 (qv) to the left.
