GV II

House forming part of terrace row; with attached verandah. Probably c1847-50 (not shown on OS map surveyed in 1847); altered. Painted stucco, slate roof. Double-depth single-fronted plan; with back extension. 3 storeys and 3 windows; square-headed doorway to the right with set-in surround, panelled door and 2-pane overlight; two 4-pane sashes at ground floor and 3 on each floor above, those at 1st floor taller and now flanked by louvred shutters. Oversailing eaves on simple brackets. Cut-down side-wall chimneys. Ground floor protected by simple 2-bay verandah with plain cast-iron columns. INTERIOR: not inspected. Forms group with Nos 9 to 12 adjoining to left (qv) and No.14 to the right (qv). All the listed buildings in Marine Terrace, together with those in Adelaide Terrace, Bath Street, Beach Lawn and Marine Crescent, form a group in the Waterloo Conservation Area of Crosby.
