Folly to north of Morland House
II
Garden folly. Circa 1860. One of a pair of towers erected by George Baskcomb for his landscape garden, using reject bricks from on-site works in Chislehurst Caves. Burr bricks with stone dressings. Gothic style tower of four storeys, circular with circular stair turret. Arrowslit openings on each floor. Ground floor has three round-headed openings to main tower and one to stair turret. Remains of stone spiral stairs with open treads. Roof and floors missing at time of survey.
