House, now shop. Late C19 with C20 alteration and shopfront. MATERIALS: front of red brick in Flemish stretcher bond, left return orange brick in English garden-wall bond; black brick bands and painted stone dressings; slate roof with brick stacks and single gabled dormer with 4-pane sash and shaped and pierced bargeboards. EXTERIOR: 3 storeys and attic; 2-window front. Arcaded shopfront with central door. First floor windows are 4-pane sashes with round heads beneath round brick arches with inserted voussoirs incised with rosettes and hoodmoulds returned to form impost band. Second floor windows are 4-pane sashes beneath flat arches of gauged brick with moulded keyblocks and impost band of cogged and black brick. First floor windows have moulded sill band: second floor windows have painted stone sills on moulded brackets over cogged brick courses, sills extended to form sill band. Dentilled brick corbel cornice. INTERIOR: open string staircase with turned balusters, newel with ball finial and mahogany handrail rises from first floor to attics. Several fireplaces survive on first and second floors. Some dado rails, cornices and ceiling roses may be original.
