GV II

Two shops and flats. Late C19. Terracotta and red brick. Slate roof. EXTERIOR: facade symmetrical, of 3 storeys and 3 bays. On the ground floor the outer bays contain shopfronts with moulded terracotta surrounds and with tiles below cornices. In the central bay there is a carriageway with a basket arch in terracotta and a cornice carried on brackets. The upper floors have 2-storey canted oriel windows, with flanking lights to those in the outer bays. The 1st floor windows have 2 transoms, and glazing bars to their upper lights. The 2nd floor windows have glazing bars to their upper lights. Between storeys the oriels have relief panels, those to the right-hand oriel now missing and others with detail now defaced. To each side of the central bay there are cast-iron rainwater hoppers and downpipes. Chimneys in front of ridge at left and between 2nd and 3rd bays. INTERIOR: not inspected.
