1/107 Former farmhouse used for farm - storage circa 5 metres north-west of Lerwell Farmhouse GV II
Former farmhouse, now used for farm storage. C17 but possibly earlier fabric concealed, with C20 alterations and additions. Corrugated iron roof with gable ends. Front lateral hall stack and rear lateral stack to lower end, both with shafts demolished. Plan. As the roof structure has been replaced in C20 and the building was in full use for hay and animal storage at time of survey (April 1986) the full plan and development could not be ascertained. The ground floor plan has remained unaltered and consists of lower end to left and hall to right of through-passage. C20 continuous outshuts of corrugated iron and timber to front and rear conceal front and rear walls. 2 storeys, floors removed at right end. 3-window range. 2-light timber ovolo mullion window to left of hall stack. Fine front through-passage doorway, C17, straight-headed with ovolo and sunk chamfered moulded surround. Original studded and panelled plank door. Interior: Of the visible internal features, the ground floor appeared to be largely intact. 4-centred arched doorway with chamfered surround to lower end. Fireplace intact to lower end. Section of plank and muntin screen 5 planks wide, the muntins chamfered to hall side of through-passage. Double ovolo-moulded ceiling beam to hall.
