II
House, formerly 2 cottages. Probably C18. Plastered cob on rubble footings; cob or rubble stacks topped with C19 brick; wheat reed thatched roof. Originally 2 cottages facing south-east, apparently a one room cottage to left (south-west) and a 2-room cottage to right (north-east). Internal cob division and stacks projecting from each end. 2 storeys. Overall regular 5-window front. Doors to right and left of centre window have C20 gabled porches (left door moved from left end). All windows are wooden casements; on first floor far left a C18 flat-faced hardwood 3-light mullioned window with middle iron casement and fixed leaded side lights of 8 panes; far right-hand pair have 2 timber casements each with 8 panes per casement, the remainder are C20 2- and 3-light timber casements. Roof gabled to left, hipped to right. Plain carpentry detail inside.
