2. Deeds dating from 1732. The house doubled in depth 1820. 3 storeys and attic, cement rendered brick with string courses between storeys, probably on moulded brick. Parapet with moulded coping. 3 window symmetrical front, flush architrave framed sashes, intact glazing bars. Gable end pantile roof with central gabled dormer, Modern door to right hand with plain fanlight. The interior structure is partly of stone brought as ballast from Holland, sandstone ard brick, some traces of simple timber framing. Original staircase with open string and swept rail but bannisters boxed in. Front ground floor room has panelled dado. 1st floor room on same side has full height fielded panelling and dado and 2nd floor front room as well. Panelling in Kitchen and remains of massive fireplace. Other rooms early C19.
Nos 1 to 7 (consec) Palace Hill Terrace with the Steps, Rails and Terrace proper form a good group.
