SS 62 NW CHITTLEHAMPTON HIGH STREET (south side), Chittlehampton 1/146 Chapel Cottage and School Room - adjoining to West End GV II
Integral range of cottage and school room/meeting hall. Mid C19. Rendered stone rubble. Asbestos slate roof with gable ends. Rear lateral stack with brick shaft to cottage. Plan: Cottage to left end of single room plan, with staircase to left-hand rear corner and entrance passage to right. School room extends to right under continuous roof. 2 storey cottage, single storey schoolroom. Cottage has 2 window range of late C19/early C20 2-light casements, 6 panes per light, above C19 3-light casement, 6 panes per light to left of plank door with 2 glazed upper panels. School room to right has 2 plank doors each with a large 3 over 6 paned window to its right. Left end of cottage has quoins. Interior altered in C20.
