Pair of houses. Late C19. Rendered stone; turnerised state to No 8; synthetic slate to No 10. Back-to-back on plan; 2 storeys. End stacks with moulded caps. Regular 3-window fronts to both Nos 8 and 10. Both houses have C20 top-opening casements; the window openings unaltered except for No 8 (ground-floor right widened a little). Cornice and sill bands, quoining all picked out in black; windows under slightly cambered lintels. Central doorway. All openings in slightly raised surrounds. C20 porch to No 10. End walls with 2 painted string courses; small end window to first floor, No 8. Lean-to extension away from roadside. Single (as opposed to terraced) back-to-back cottages are rare. Nos 8-10 form an attractive group with Nos 4-6, and 12-14.
