LONGWESTGATE 1. 1605 (North side) Nos 74 and 76 TA 0488 4/19 22.12.53.
II GV
2. Late C18. 2 storeys and attic with basement. Red brick, probably Dutch, with stucco 1st floor band. Stone frieze and bracketed cornice. Gable end pantile roof with flanking chimneys, 2 small dormers. 5 bay symmetrical front, recessed sashes with flat stucco arches, glazing bars intact. Door of 6 fielded panels with rectangular fanlight and doorcase of engaged fluted Doric columns, reeded frieze with roundel ornament and flat cornice, approached by flight of 8 stone steps with wooden area rails and 'cannon' standards.
No 68 and Nos 72 to 76 (even) form a group.
