2. Includes Nos 37A, 39A and 41A George Street. Early-mid C19 terrace of 3-storeys and basement. Most houses have three bays, but Nos 5, 6 and 10 have five. Several builds, in different kinds of red brick. Fairly low pitched slated roofs. Stone eaves cornices, some with dentils. The 5-bay houses have stone basements and cill bands. Sash windows, mostly with glazing bars, have stone cills and flat or near-flat gauged brick arches. A modern link between Nos 5 and 6 has window of Venetian shape. No 10 has a rusticated, rendered plinth, architraves to its central windows, the 1st floor one with pediment; and wrought iron balcony rail over prostyle Ionic porch with 8-panel door. Others have 6-panel doors with radial fanlights of varying patterns, Nos 7, 8 and 9 under plain round gauged brick arches. Nos 5, 11, 12 and 14A have Tuscan doorcases with segmental pediments (except No 12 triangular) and No 6 has a shallow Tuscan porch.
