Details
ST EDMUNDS CHURCH STREET 1. 1594 (East Side) Nos 8 & 10 SU 1430 SE 2/250 II GV 2. Late C17 altered. 2 storeys and attics, stuccoed front. Steep pitch gable end old tile roof with central chimney stack. Moulded wood cornice. Each house has one hipped roof dormer with moulded cornice and 2 light casement. 2 windows on lst floor, flush architrave framed sashes, later glazing. One similar window and door on outer corner to each on ground floor. C19 6-Panel doors in panelled reveals, with frames of plain pilasters and cornice hoods. Rear elevation has 2 tile hung gables.
Nos 2 to 10 (even) and Nos 16 to 24 (even) with Methodist Church form a group.
Also Nos 2 to 10 (even) form a group with os 51 to 55 (odd) Winchester Street.
